Celebrating Fashion Inclusivity with Dove

Balini™ collaborated with Dove, a brand that epitomizes real beauty and inclusivity. This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission to redefine fashion for all women. Dove’s campaign, Express Yourself in 100 Colours, encourages women to celebrate their unique styles with confidence. With Invisible Dry deodorants tested on 100 colors, women can enjoy their favorite outfits without worrying about stains.

The theme for this year’s Hollywoodbets Durban July, “Ride the Wave,” set against the warm Indian Ocean, deeply inspired my design for the event. The beauty of the ocean inspired the wave cuff design for the dress. I incorporated big dots and beads, embracing the African spirit, and boldly used colors to embody the “Express Yourself in 100 Colours” campaign.

A highlight of this collaboration was having disability activist Meaghan Adonis, also known as The Blind Goddess, wear our Braille-inspired dress at the Durban July. Meaghan, who is visually impaired, perfectly embodied the spirit of inclusivity and empowerment that our designs stand for.

Partnering with Dove at the Durban July is a significant milestone. This prestigious event highlights the importance of inclusivity in fashion. Our Braille-inspired designs were showcased on stage, symbolizing empowerment and freedom through vibrant expressions of color.

The collaboration represents more than fashion; it’s a movement to break barriers. We aim to inspire women from diverse backgrounds to embrace their individuality without fear. Our partnership with Dove highlights the transformative power of fashion that includes everyone.

Dove’s commitment to real beauty resonates with my values. Their dedication to empowering individuals and celebrating diversity aligns perfectly with our vision. Together, we are redefining fashion inclusivity, creating garments that are not just stylish but also accessible and empowering.

This partnership marks a pivotal moment in our journey to foster a culture of “Colour Confidence.” By embracing a spectrum of hues, we invite every woman to express herself freely and confidently. Join us in celebrating a future where fashion is inclusive, vibrant, and liberating for all.
